The West Virginia coaching staff continues to work the Virginia area searching for hidden gems, and talent that can compete in the new Big 12 Conference. WVU became the seventh program to offer North Stafford (Va.) wide receiver Brandon Ravenel.
The 6-foot-0, 170-pound speedster was a big time playmaker for the Northwest Region Division Five champions last season. He totaled 60 catches for 1,087 yards and 16 touchdowns.
By the time his high school career is over, he will be a four year starter and team captain.
Head coach Joe Mangano calls Ravenel the total package.
"Brandon has started every game since he came to North Stafford and he is one of the hardest working and most dedicated players I have ever coached," says the coach. "He is a 3.7 GPA student and a dynamic player with seven touchdowns that covered more than 40 yards."
He currently has offers from Boston College, Purdue, and Temple to name a few. He continues to gain recognition, and Virginia Tech will be a school to keep an eye on.
