Timber Creek HS RB Zaire Williams had originally planned to announce his college destination during his senior season. But after making a camping stop at West Virginia just last month, the talented playmaker bumped his decision date up.
On Monday, Williams pledged his services to the Mountaineers, becoming the 8th commitment in the 2013 class.
The 3-star RB is coming off an unbelievable junior season. He rushed for 1,621 yards and 28 touchdowns. To add to those eye-popping stats, Williams complied those numbers off only 195 carries, averaging 8.3 yards per carry.
Williams, 5-foot-11, 200 pound back, chose the Mountaineers over Iowa, Wisconsin, Pitt and UCONN.
Last month, Williams and his teammates visted WVU for their 7-on-7 camp. He also plans to use his official visit to Morgantown for the Marshall game.
