As West Virginia prepares to enter their first season in the Big 12 conference, they do so with one key luxury in their favor - experience.
Yet, with position battles heating up in summer, there are numerous spots where the Mountaineers will rely on youth. Several players from the 2012 recruiting class will be called upon to contribute.
We've taken a look at the entire incoming class, and have broken down those most likely to contribute among the newcomers.
Jordan Thompson - WR 
We chose Thompson not because of his magnificent spring game, but because of his speed and pass-catching skills. A perfect gem in this offense, look for Thompson to get plenty of opportunities as defenses focus on other targets.
Karl Joseph - DB
Joseph not only has a chance to contribute in the secondary, but also on special teams. Known to be a hard hitting defender, he also has the speed to cover plenty of ground. Expect Joseph to make an immediate impact.
Imarjaye Albury - DT
Albury has several things working in his favor. He was able to arrive in Morgantown in January and plays a position that is very slim. With the Mountaineers playing a new defensive scheme, and looking to apply more pressure on opposing quarterbacks, Albury will be firmly planted in the rotation.
Mark Glowinski - OL 
We feel Glowinski is the most ready to play right away. And while the offense line returns several starters, and showed improvement in the spring, lets not forget this unit has had its share of struggles. The talented JUCO will have to opportunity to prove himself in the summer, and may just take advantage of the opportunity.
Sam Lebbie - LB
Lebbie was a big recruiting catch for this staff. With plenty of speed and ball-hawking skills he'll be thrown into the fire early on. Because of his eligibility concerns we placed him a tad further down on our list.
Torry Clayton/Roshard Burney - RB
We included both running backs here, because it's unclear who will step up. But with the concerns surrounding the position there is playing time to be had. Each back offers a different set of skills. So whether Dana Holgorsen is looking for speed or power, one of the youngsters will find their way on the field.
